The California is Ferrari's new Grand Touring car that was designed with the U.S. market in mind and features an aluminum chassis, aluminum body work and the first use by Ferrari of a power folding hardtop. Powered by a new 4.3-liter V8 engine that includes direct fuel injection, the California is also the first Ferrari with the engine mounted in a mid-front position. The Ferrari California is equipped with the F1-Trac traction control system that first debuted on the 599 GTB Fiorano and has been tuned to suite the driving characteristics of the California. The four-seat California offers a more relaxed and easy driving style than the two-seat mid-engine F430 and with the extra two seats, more flexibility.
